The Allen-Bradley 2198-D057-ERS3 is a Kinetix Servo Drive that is part of the Kinetix 5700 Ethernet I/P servo system. This servo drive is used to interface with Kinetix Servo motors to implement motion and position control. It supports integrated motion control over Ethernet I/P via the embedded dual RJ45 Ethernet interface communication ports.The 2198-D057-ERS3 has a module width of 85 mm with physical measurements of 9.92 x 3.35 x 17.0 inches or 252 x 85 x 433 mm and weighs 14.9 lbs or 6.76 kg. It supports zero stacking installation and designed to reduce wiring and installation costs.
This servo drive is a dual axis servo drive and dual ethernet ports. With dual axis capability, it is capable of control more control directions while the dual ethernet capability allows this servo drive to communicate with automation devices connected in either linear or Device Level Ring (DLR) topology. This servo drive is designed to communicate with the Logix controller platform for direct integration of servo parameters for monitoring and control and further connection to Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
