Product Description

Siemens 6SL3351-6GE32-6AA1 | MICROMASTER 440 PX Replacement Control Interface Board — 380–480V / 260A

Part Number: 6SL3351-6GE32-6AA1

Manufacturer: Siemens AG (Germany)

Product Type: PX Replacement Control Interface Board (CIB)

What This Board Does

The 6SL3351-6GE32-6AA1 is the Control Interface Board (CIB) spare for Siemens MICROMASTER 440 PX drives at the 260A / 380–480V rating. It sits between the Control Unit and the IGBT power section — handling gate drive signals, current feedback conditioning, and hardware overcurrent protection.

In the 6SL3351 series, the GE prefix identifies the 380–480V voltage class. The 6AA1 suffix covers the 260A current rating. Adjacent variants (1AA1 = 210A, etc.) differ in sensor calibration and are not interchangeable. Confirm the correct part from the installed board's label before ordering.

FAQ

Q1: The MM440 trips F0001 at no-load at run command. Could the CIB be the source?

Yes. A failed current measurement circuit on the CIB produces a false overcurrent reading with no real load. Check whether the drive displays non-zero phase current at standstill — confirmed non-zero reading points to the CIB.

Q2: Can adjacent variants (e.g., the 210A version) substitute for the 260A board?

No. Each current rating has its own matched sensor calibration. Installing the wrong variant causes incorrect current limiting and potential IGBT overload. Match the A board's current rating exactly.

Q3: Does fitting a replacement CIB require recommissioning the drive?

No. Drive parameters reside on the control board, not the CIB. After replacement, power up normally — the drive reads its parameter set immediately without re-commissioning.

Q4: The failed board has scorch marks on the gate drive area. Is this the CIB or an IGBT fault?

Scorch marks on the CIB gate area almost always mean an IGBT shorted first and damaged the board as a consequence. Test the IGBT module before fitting a replacement CIB — otherwise the new board risks the same damage.

Q5: Where is this part sourced now?

MICROMASTER repair specialists and drive spare parts dealers hold exchange stock. Request a functional test certificate confirming gate channels and current measurement circuits before delivery.
