The Allen-Bradley 1746-OBP16 is a high-performance sixteen-channel discrete output module from the SLC 500 product family, designed for industrial automation applications. This module provides 24VDC output with integrated fuse protection for short-circuit prevention.

Occupying a single slot in any SLC 500 chassis, the 1746-OBP16 is compatible with both fixed and modular hardware configurations, making it a versatile solution for various industrial control systems.

Key Features & Protection

The module features individual electronic protection for each channel, with an integrated fuse that safeguards against short-circuit and overload conditions. The front panel E-FEUSE LED illuminates to indicate fault conditions, while unaffected channels continue normal operation.

In the event of a channel shutdown due to detected errors, system power must be removed and the actual error corrected. Once resolved, reapplying power automatically resets the module and resumes control output functionality.
