The Panasonic PM-L25 detects opaque targets passing through a fixed 6 mm slot. Its built-in amplifier simplifies integration into compact equipment. The L-type body suits installations around moving flags and small mechanisms.
Application areas include electronics assembly, packaging equipment, and automated handling. Typical tasks include detecting a carriage home position, confirming mechanism travel, and counting opaque tabs passing through the slot.

Position the target to interrupt the beam fully. The orange indicator lights when the beam is received. Operate between −25 and +55°C without condensation or icing. At +50°C or above, mount the sensor on a metal body.
Q1: Is the PM-L25 an NPN or PNP sensor?
A: It has NPN open-collector outputs.
Q2: Does it require an external amplifier?
A: No. The amplifier is built in.
Q3: Can it provide both Light-ON and Dark-ON signals?
A: Yes. Two separate outputs are provided.
Q4: What is the smallest specified target?
A: A 0.8 × 1.2 mm opaque object.
